About us
Since 2018, tens of thousands of pairs
ApavuSPA is one of the first shoe restoration companies in Latvia. We have been working since 2018, and tens of thousands of pairs have passed through our workshop since then.
We have seen almost everything. We know what we can do and what we cannot. We cannot do everything, but we can do almost everything.
In the workshop we use a wide range of materials: many kinds of dye in practically any shade, treatment and care products. Come by, show us your shoes, and we will talk it through together.

What we do
Colour, cleaning, care and repair
Before dyeing or restoration, shoes need a thorough clean. Cleaning is not included in the price of dyeing, recolouring or repair: we charge for it separately, as per the price list.
Colour restoration

We bring worn leather back to its original shade when the colour has faded but the shoe itself is sound.
Recolouring to a new shade

Going from dark to light, we use a covering dye. We choose the colour together.
Intensive exterior care

A thorough exterior clean. Charged separately, whether on its own or together with dyeing, recolouring or repair.
Interior deep cleaning

With an antibacterial treatment. Order it with any other job or on its own. Gets rid of unpleasant smells in sports shoes.

Do you repair shoes?
Yes. We re-glue, stitch and replace soles, repair and replace heels, replace zips, fit heel tips, stretch shoes, and insert or shorten boot shafts. Repair is an additional service: we agree the price after inspection, and indicative prices are in the price list. Our main work is colour restoration, recolouring and cleaning.
What shoes do you take?
Women's, men's and children's shoes: court shoes, ballet flats, sandals, ankle boots, boots and trainers. We work with leather, suede, nubuck and textile, and restore bags too. Whether a particular pair can be saved, we will tell you after inspection.
Can black leather be recoloured white?
Yes, and colours can be combined too. Keep in mind that going from a dark shade to a light one, we only use covering dyes, so a tinted, see-through finish is not possible in that case.
How do I get my shoes to you?
Bring them to our workshop at Zolitūdes iela 36/1-1 or send them by Omniva parcel locker to T/C Venta, Zolitūdes iela 34, Riga, with the recipient phone 29617049. No box is needed. You can send the shoes in a bag.
How long does the work take?
Usually 7–10 days. We quote the price on the spot or within two working days after inspection, and start only once you approve it.
What is the warranty?
Three months on the durability of the dye, if the shoes are worn and cared for properly. The warranty does not cover mechanical damage.
Can I cancel the job?
Yes, until you approve the quote. After approval the work is made to order, and the right of withdrawal no longer applies.
Can I come in for a consultation?
Yes. Tuesday to Friday 10:00–19:00, Saturday 10:00–16:00. Bring the shoes with you, as we do not quote from photos.
How does payment work?
We send the invoice once the work is finished, before the shoes are shipped. They go out after payment. Return delivery is listed separately on the invoice: Unisend €2, Omniva €3–4.50 by parcel size. Collecting the shoes at the workshop is free.
